A soothing and supportive herbal supplement for horses
specifically formulated to maintain a healthy
balanced digestive system and gut balance.
When a horse is competing, working at high levels of
fitness, travelling, or on high protein diets it
may lose condition, appear" tucked
up" or fail to thrive. Now is the time to consider
using GastriX especially if the horse also has either no or
only limited access to grazing, turnout or the opportunity to
relax and " be a horse". When horses are put under pressure they may
well have difficulty in maintaining a healthy and balanced digestive
system and gut health.
We also recommend using GastriX in conjunction with your
regular worming programme.
GastriX contains soothing herbs such as Slippery Elm,
Marshmallow, Cramp bark and Milk Thistle that have all
been selected for their ability to support and
maintain healthy and effective gut health and function.
Slippery Elm, Marshmallow root, Meadowsweet herb, Cramp Bark
stem bark, Milk Thistle seed, Liquorice root, Gotu Kola leaf.
Slippery Elm (Ulmus rubra) is one of the herbs included in
this formulation. Slippery Elm is made from the inner bark of the Red
Elm Tree, and contains a constituent called mucilage. It is one of the
principle cooling herbs in the herbal Materia
Medica and is used both internally and externally for its
excellent properties.
If you mix a small amount of Slippery Elm powder with a little
water you will end up with something that looks remarkably like
wallpaper paste, imagine how beneficial this consistency is for the
digestive system. The beauty of this herb is that it is can be given to
the very young and very old, both human and animal.
